SynquUp™ (“SynquUp,” “we,” “us”) — a product of SynquUp, LLC — provides healthcare navigation and educational resources at synquup.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, and how it’s handled.

What we do not do

SynquUp is built to avoid collecting protected health information (PHI). We do not require you to create a profile with health details, and we do not use patient-level tracking, cross-site behavioral advertising tools, or tools like the Meta Pixel to build individual health profiles.

SynquUp works as a directory and navigator, not a data intermediary. When you find a provider, program, copay assistance resource, clinical trial, or insurance plan through SynquUp, we point you directly to that organization’s own contact information or website. We do not collect your personal or health information and pass it along to providers, insurers, pharmaceutical companies, or any other third party on your behalf. If you choose to reach out to a resource we’ve linked you to, that exchange happens directly between you and that organization — not through SynquUp.

A note on HIPAA: SynquUp is not a HIPAA-covered entity, and information you share on this site is not protected by HIPAA. We are not claiming HIPAA compliance because we don’t collect PHI — those are two different things, and we want to be precise about which one is true.

Community Blogs specifically: HIPAA does not apply to anything posted in SynquUp’s Community Blogs. If you choose to share your own story, please do not include:

• Demographic details that could identify you or someone else (full name, date of birth, address, employer)
• Financial information (account numbers, insurance ID numbers, income details)
• Legal information (case numbers, details of legal proceedings)
• Clinical information (diagnoses, test results, medication names, treatment details tied to an identifiable person)
• Any other personal or identifying information about yourself or another person

Anything posted in the Community Blogs is public and is not protected the way information shared with a healthcare provider would be. Please share your experience in your own words without including identifying or sensitive details.

What we do collect

• Contact information you provide, such as your name and email, if you sign up for a newsletter, contact us, or create a community blog account.
• Search terms and general usage data (such as which pages are viewed) to understand how people use the Care Navigator and improve it — this is used in aggregate, not tied to health conditions you may have searched for as an identifiable profile.
• Standard technical data (IP address, browser type, device type) collected automatically by most websites for security and performance.
• Cookies and similar technologies — see the Cookie Notice below.

How we use information

To operate and improve the site, respond to inquiries, send communications you’ve opted into, and maintain security. We do not sell personal information.

Third-party links and services

SynquUp links to external providers, government agencies, nonprofits, and other resources. Once you leave synquup.com, that organization’s own privacy policy applies — see the External Links Disclaimer.
