This notice is provided by SynquUp, LLC (“SynquUp,” “we,” “us”) to California residents at or before the time we collect personal information — for example, when you email us or use a contact form, sign up for our newsletter, comment on the blog, or visit the site.
Categories of personal information collected:
- Identifiers: your name and email address (if you contact us, subscribe to the newsletter, or comment on the blog) and your IP address.
- Internet or network activity: standard server and security log information, such as browser type and the pages requested.
- Content you send us: what you write in an email, contact-form message, or blog comment.
Sensitive personal information: We do not ask for it. If you include it in a message, we use it only to respond to you. Please do not send health details or post them in comments.
Care Navigator searches: Searches on synquup.com/care/ run in your browser. Your ZIP code, hub, and filter choices stay in your browser’s session storage and are cleared when you close the tab. If you type a street address, it is sent to the U.S. Census Bureau’s geocoder to find map coordinates. We do not save your searches.
Purpose: to operate the site, respond to your messages, send newsletters you’ve signed up for, show and moderate blog comments, and keep the site secure.
Retention:
- Contact emails and contact-form messages: as long as needed to respond, then up to 3 years for records.
- Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe.
- Blog comments: while the comment is published.
- Security and server logs: generally up to 90 days.
- Cookie-choice record: up to 12 months.
Sale/sharing: SynquUp does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, retargeting, or other advertising tracking. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as an opt-out request.
Your rights: We may not be required to follow the California Consumer Privacy Act, but we honor these requests from anyone. You can ask to know, access, correct, or delete your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights. Email chuck@synquup.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.
