Sponsorship from pharmaceutical companies, health systems, payers, and other healthcare organizations helps fund SynquUp and keeps it free to use.
Sponsorship financially supports SynquUp. It does not constitute SynquUp’s medical endorsement of a sponsor’s products or services, and sponsors cannot purchase influence over Care Navigator recommendations, clinical guidance, or independent editorial content.
The rules every sponsor follows:
- Flat fees only. Sponsors pay a set fee. SynquUp is never paid per lead, referral, click, or sale.
- No paying for position. Sponsors never pay for search order or ranking. Paid items appear in their own labeled space, separate from search results and neutral listings.
- No control over content. Sponsors never control SynquUp’s content, emergency information, or which neutral resources appear.
- No per-click, per-lead, or per-sale pay for federal health program items. SynquUp does not accept per-click, per-lead, or per-sale compensation for items or services payable by Medicare, Medicaid, or other federal health programs.
- Affiliate links. Affiliate (paid) links appear only on clearly labeled non-health products, and say “Paid link” or “We earn a commission if you buy through this link” right next to the link.
- No personal data. Sponsors do not receive information about who you are or what you searched for. At most, they receive totals, such as how many times an item was shown or clicked.
Sponsored content is labeled clearly, using consistent terms:
- Sponsored or Sponsored by [Organization] — a paid relationship exists.
- Supported by [Organization] — the organization helps fund the page. It did not write or review the health information.
- Sponsored Educational Content — content created or funded in connection with a sponsor, kept separate from SynquUp’s independent educational content.
- Paid link — SynquUp earns a commission if you buy through this link (non-health products only).
We deliberately do not use “Endorsed by” for sponsorship relationships, because sponsorship and endorsement are different claims. For more detail on how we separate sponsored and independent content, see our Editorial & Sponsorship Independence Policy.
